Preschool Playground

Improvements to the preschool playground at Thinkery, a children's museum in Austin, Texas. The improvements include a cozy corner, or deck with egg shaped swings, and a series of planter boxes and tables.

Philomena Street Octopus

This octopus sculpture is the conceptual design of artist Dixie Friend Gay that was fully designed and brought to life through the collaborative efforts of the Blue Genie Art Industries team and many others. Standing 24 feet tall and named Ocho, this octopus resides on top of a restroom in a park in Austin, Texas.

The VHS box shelves are continued theming for the Alamo Drafthouse along with the VHS cassette tables.

Self contained decorative fountain living in the middle of Austin, Texas based bar Tiki Tatsu-Ya.

Carpenter Hotel Sign

Standing four stories high, this sign was designed and built in panels which bolted together and to the stairwell of the Carpenter Hotel located in Austin, Texas.

Iron Giant

The titular character from the movie The Iron Giant, this fourteen foot sculpture originally lived at an Alamo Drafthouse in Omaha, Nebraska

Research Hub Decorations

A partnership between Thinkery and The University of Texas at Austin, the research hub was built to study how children interact with the exhibits. The decorative patterns on the exterior are pulled from elements of Thinkery's molecule logo.

VHS Cassette Tables

A project for the theater chain Alamo Drafthouse, the VHS cassette tables were for an Alamo Drafthouse video store in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Interimaginary Departures Chair

A concept of artist Janet Zweig, Interimaginary Departures is located at Austin Bergstrom International Airport and is meant to be the intersection of our world and an imaginary one. Simplified in the final pieces to stools, due to time constraints, the original plan was to have ornate chairs interwoven with the airport seating.

Circuits Power-Supply Box

Circuits, an exhibit at Thinkery, is designed to show kids the very basics of circuitry. This power-supply box was built to contend with space issues which developed during a technology overhaul of the exhibit.

Computer Caddies

Caddies meant to organize computers with their mice and keyboards in the cabinets of the Research Hub at Thinkery.

Ticket Cart

A cart built to replace an IKEA restroom cart that originally held a parking ticket validation machine at Thinkery.
